Surrounded by the Wollemi National Park, James Estate enjoys an enviable position with sweeping views of the Goulburn River from their spacious cellar door sales and tasting area.

The property and winery cover 1,560 acres with planting capacity for 850 acres. If the Lower Hunter is the civilized, tourist centre of the region, the Upper Hunter is the frontier; a little less travelled and also a little wilder. Here wedge tailed eagles soar over the Hunter powerhouses of wine production from the estates on Bylong Valley Way to Rosemount and Arrowfield and back. Now linked to the Greater Blue Mountains Drive, it's a great part of the world and a great wine region to visit.

James Estate continues a tradition started some 30 years ago when vineyard and winery practices were commenced on the estate property.
